I may have said “please kill me if I have to stay in lockdown next week”. If they’d passed the euthanasia bill I could well be dead in a couple of weeks.
One good thing about the covid disease is that I don’t hear anymore about euthanasia. Its set for a referendum at the election (assuming the power that is allows one, and someones left alive to vote). I don’t see the bill getting much support due to the fact that most of the people who wanted to be euthanated have perhaps had there wish granted by covid.
If that is the case, should it be counted as a covid death? and if someone wishing to be euthanated does not die of covid can I count them in my tally of lives I have saved by being tethered to my house for a month?
I don’t mean to be hurtful to people who are suffering and perhaps want to die, they have my utmost sympathy. I just want to object to the do gooders who obsess over keeping people alive at any cost. It was the same set of do gooders that were trying to let people die a few months ago.
